Out Of Stock! Supply Chain Problems!

The part to fix my car is on back order but i must have my car what can i do [Music] so you’re in no doubt aware that there’s a real issue at present with our supply chain and it began during the pandemic that didn’t have time to recover before it became compounded by the russia ukraine conflict it certainly affected the auto repair industry and obtaining parts for repairs and we’re going to take up how you can deal with that when you go to have your car fixed so everyday supply chain issues today everyone has experience going to the grocery store looking for that one item you always get and you’re not finding it for myself there’s always been one supplement i take i buy at a health food store one time i’ll go and it’s not there a week later it’s still not there and the next week same deal what can be really annoying is that in the store when you ask someone when they’ll be getting such a item back in stock the answer is always we don’t know we’ve been trying to get it for a long time that kind of answer is not very helpful for the customer especially if it’s something the customer really needs so we can say under current conditions that the supply chain is not just experiencing issues it’s in a crisis so when it comes to your car you rely on your car to get you to and from work and the errands and such that you need to run you expect that when you take your car that you rely on uh for so much into the auto repair shop to get it fixed that they’ll look at it right away uh correctly figure out like what’s wrong with the car give you the cost and the time it will take to fix it and go ahead and do the work once you’ve authorized it the expectation often causes people to wait until the last minute i often see that car owners will have been hearing a noise in the car and have known it’s an issue for some time they’re waiting for a convenient time to take the car in to get it looked at while they’re waiting for that convenient time by the end they bring it to the shop because they really need it fixed and back fast the difference today is that just like in every other industry auto repair shops are experiencing supply chain issues the part needed to fix the car may not be available through the shop’s regular sources and it might take quite a bit of time to locate it that’s where alternative sourcing comes in as i said earlier there’s one supplement that i always purchase from a health food store after five weeks in a row going to the store and not being able to get the product i was looking for i did some research online and i was able to find the same product elsewhere it’s kind of interesting that one place can get it while the other absolutely cannot the difference of course is that the two places are getting the product or not from two different sources so when it comes to car parts stuff to repair your vehicle it’s a similar situation in response to this supply chain crisis at legendary automotive we’ve changed the way having to have them shipped but at least you’re not left waiting weeks until the parts available from a regular vendor so this is just one of the ways we’ve changed the way we’re operating to help solve your vehicle related problems the last thing we want to do is tell our customers when uh you’ve brought your car in for a repair we haven’t figured out um where we can find the part um and what do you do right you don’t have a car um so you need to adapt too just like we’re adapting just as we’ve adapted to the supply chain crisis so you must when it comes to taking care of your car my advice is this when you take your vehicle in for normal services and issues are found that need to be taken care of in the near future do your best not to wait take care of them if you can having your getting your car fixed as soon as possible will prevent these future problems of course there is the alternative you can just decide to get rid of your vehicle and buy a new one but before you make such a decision you should take a look the prices of a new car they’re 30 to 40 percent higher than they were just a short time ago so when you service your car go ahead and fully service it you’ve probably gotten into the habit of putting things off when you know you have a bit of time to wait but in today’s supply chain crisis environment you don’t have the time you need to get it taken care of also prices have nearly doubled or tripled at legendary automotive we’ve seen price increases on everything from parts to oil and fluids the moral don’t put it off get it fixed today make it so
