WHAT IS THE ABS LIGHT?
The ABS light, or “ABS” warning light, is a dashboard indicator in a vehicle that illuminates when the vehicle’s anti-lock braking system (ABS) is not working properly. The ABS system helps to prevent the wheels from locking up during heavy braking, allowing the driver to maintain steering control. If the ABS light comes on, it typically indicates a problem with the ABS system and the vehicle should be taken to a mechanic for diagnosis and repair.
